About Us

Transforming Lives Through Vision

Our Mission

Eye Doc in a Box is a nondenominational, evangelical, Christian organization providing eye care and spiritual aid to hurting people in developing countries while demonstrating God’s love and sharing God’s love through his Son, Jesus Christ. The goal is to help meet the eye care needs of the billion patients who need glasses but do not have access to them. The organization serves the church in developing countries worldwide to promote the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Through awareness of the need for vision care, the goal of Eye
Doc in a Box is to see that every Christian mission trip includes
vision testing as a part of their ministry. The end goal is to treat
25 million people by 2050.

By participating in selected conventions and conferences
throughout each year, our prayer is that, by word of mouth, Eye
Doc in a Box will become synonymous with vision care in
developing countries, similar to other well known ministries.

Rooted in Christian Beliefs

Our Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the world.
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  4. We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, we believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell.
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.
  7. We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ.
  8. We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.
  9. We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen.

Thank you so much for your help and support for our eyeglass ministry to Portugal...We couldn't be more happy with the outcome of the Eyeglass Ministry. On the last day of the five clinic days an optometrist from Italy and his wife joined us and saw multiple patients and planned to see patients the next day with our supply of glasses that we would leave them...We are really thrilled to see all the glasses that we had go to use in Portugal.

We would like to thank Eye Doc in a Box for the great support in helping our church to provide over 300 pair of glasses to a church we support in Brazil. The Eye Doc in a Box team was such a wonderful help with training, support, and information. We had 8 of our church members including several elders and deacons that made the trip. What a joy. Eye Doc In A Box is the complete package. When we contacted the church in Brazil and shared the ideal of making it possible for 200 of their church and community members to be able to see, to read, or see to drive or even see across the street, they said please bring them. In just two days they had 200 appointments for glasses set up and asked if it would be possible to get more. We called Eye Doc in a Box and they sent the needed glasses just in time to get on the plane to Brazil. We would highly recommend this as a great mission work for Christ. The ability to be able to read for the first time in maybe 10 or 20 years, or to be able to see the leaves in the trees blow in the wind - Wow!! This was used for a seed planting ministry in our case. The church has all the information on each person that attended and were all invited to the conference that weekend. Again what a blessing.
