About Us

Transforming Lives Through Vision

Our Mission

Eye Doc in a Box is a nondenominational, evangelical, Christian organization providing eye care and spiritual aid to hurting people in developing countries while demonstrating God’s love and sharing God’s love through his Son, Jesus Christ. The goal is to help meet the eye care needs of the billion patients who need glasses but do not have access to them. The organization serves the church in developing countries worldwide to promote the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Through awareness of the need for vision care, the goal of Eye
Doc in a Box is to see that every Christian mission trip includes
vision testing as a part of their ministry. The end goal is, together
with other organizations, to treat 25 million people by 2050.

By participating in selected conventions and conferences
throughout each year, our prayer is that, by word of mouth, Eye
Doc in a Box will become synonymous with vision care in
developing countries, similar to other well known ministries.

Rooted in Christian Beliefs

Our Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the world.
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  4. We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, we believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell.
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.
  7. We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ.
  8. We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.
  9. We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen.

Let me start by saying it went so well! …All in all over the 3 days we saw over 300 people. …One man was so happy he could see better he began to bring more people from the village to get their eyes done. He came back several times to show me how he couldn’t see the eye chart without the glasses but “with them” he could clearly see the eye chart and was so happy!  We realized He did for the eye glasses what every Christian should be doing about Christ. We should be so excited about what Christ has done for us that we are going out and sharing Him with everyone we meet …One thing to note is how God really planned this specific team for this specific task. Each person that manned their station was amazing in their role. It literally brought me to tears to see how it all came together.

We want to thank you for your incredible kindness and basically for coming to our rescue in July!  It was a wild adventure, considering we had never done this before and then when we said yes, everything seemed to hinder us moving forward.  But you all were WONDERFUL and truly made it all possible for us to fulfill our promises of bringing eye glasses into our areas! I've attached a video and written story for you to get a little glimpse of the success of the vision clinics.  We ended up being able to serve 5 of our communities in Guatemala with vision testing and eye glasses.  One of the students that you trained, took everything you taught her to heart and truly became the leader of the vision station.  It was as if she received a full degree from Eye Doc in a Box!!  I was amazed to see the depth of all that she learned and implemented in such a short time.  I know that this will be an experience that shapes her education and career forever.  This moment with you all will also be the sweet story that we carry forward of how we added eye care to our healthcare development.  Thank you for being such an incredible surprise and helpful recourse to our mission and ministry! Going forward, I would love to chat about how we can incorporate your trainings under calmer circumstances.  How do you normally handle this with other groups?
